Oscar Junior recorded the fastest time in the three semis of the RPGTV Laurels on Thursday night.
Running from trap six in the third semi final, Charlie Lister’s 7-4f beat Killieford Kane (T1) by six and a half lengths in 27.69 (all races -30). Joint second favourites Bubbly Turbo (T3) and Corrin Boyshane (T6) were both eliminated.
The opening heat went to favourite Droopys Country (T6 7-4f) with a one length win over Charity Dragon (T4 7-1). Joint second favourites Stay Loose (T1) and Roswell Iceman (T3) were eliminated.
The second qualifier went to 12-1 shot Dorotas Tiger (T3) with Hiya Butt (T2 4-6f) being turned over by a head in 27.93 with Droopys Trapeze (T6 9-4) eliminated in third.
