Blackrose June (Droopys Cain-Dromana Linda, Sep 13), fastest over Henlow’s 428m and 460m trips in 2016 was rewarded for her consistency by taking the £2,500 Henlow Mini Derby.

Eric Cantillon’s 5-2 third favourite went to the bend in third place but ran around the outside the railers to lead at the third bend. She crossed the winning line with four and a half lengths to spare over Westmead Rossi in 25.47, some 13 spots outside her 428m track record. It was her tenth win in her last 19 races spread between the 428m, 460m and 550m trips
