Greyhound of the Year Cornamaddy Jumbo attempts to complete a double in the heats of the William Hill Champion Hurdle at Wimbledon on Saturday.
The Mark Wallis trained black, who is racing for the first time this year, faces a tough task up against the younger Con Te Partiro in the second heat. The of Partiro’s kennelmates Razldazlndwewstalk, Razldazl Bigbear and Lenson Royale meet in the first qualifier while another of the Holloway range, Soviet Military, will be fancied to qualify from the third heat.
Earlier in the evening, 18 eliminated Derby runners contest the first round of the Derby Plate. Liz McNair, will be particularly pleased with the draw as her three runners contest different heats.
