Ricky Holloway’s Jimbobjoe (Droopys Cain-Yahoo Lily, Mar 14) made it five from his last six to take the Carlsberg Kent St.Leger at Crayford on Saturday evening.
The Corn Cuchulainn semi finalist went to traps at 9-4 as a result of that sole defeat by Pretty Lane in the Crayford qualifiers but landed the £2,500 decider on merit. He trapped slowly from red and was led up by the 380m record breaker Tiddlywink but when she seemed to go amiss – she eventually finished tailed off – Jimbobjoe took full advantage to win in a very respectable 45.60.
