Space Jet, the greatest marathoner of her generation, will have the opportunity for revenge over the younger ‘upstart’ Mohican Tara in the heats of Friday’s Star Sports Galaxy Marathon at Oxford.
The £10K to winner event has been reduced from 24 runners to two semi finals and Matt Dartnall’s brilliant black – looking for win 19 in 27 races – will be looking to reverse form with her ‘sh‘ vanquishor in the recent Diamond Stakes.
The second qualifier sees an intriguing entry in Steve Rayner’s Night Time Danny. It is the first time that the 2021 Champion Stakes winner has gone beyond 712 metres, though he did lead and get caught in the same year’s St Leger Final. . . . by Space Jet.
