Running from T3, Jean Liles’ 5-2 chance seemed to have cleared trouble at the first bend but then faced a determined late surge from reigning champ Scolari Sound (T1 9-4) who failed by a head, with Walk The Talk (T5 3-1) a similar distance back in third. The winner’s time for the 305m was 17.64 (+20).
