JENNINGSBET TO SPONSOR THE SELECT STAKES & PUPPY CLASSIC

Arena Racing Company (“ARC”) and JenningsBet are delighted to announce the betting firm’s sponsorship of The Select Stakes and Puppy Classic at Nottingham Greyhound Stadium.  The deal represents a further support of Greyhound racing at ARC stadia from JenningsBet, who announced a multi-year branding partnership earlier in 2022.

The JenningsBet Select Stakes is one of the most prestigious events in the greyhound calendar.  The six competitors are invited to run against each other in the one-off event, run over four bends, by the Greyhounds Writers Association (“GWA”).

The race has a long history, starting in 1952 at Wembley, moving to Nottingham in 1996.  In 2022, and with the support of JenningsBet, the race will offer an increased purse of £10,000 (from £8,000 previously).  The supporting Select Stayers Invitation will also see the winner’s purse increased to £2,500 (from £1,000).

The heats for the JenningsBet Puppy Classic will take place on successive Monday evenings on 15 and 22 August.  The final will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 29 August, alongside the JenningsBet Select Stakes and Stayers Invitation.
