Touchdown Jacko took advantage of being the only seeded runner to land the Lee Strand 550 Final at Tralee on Saturday.
Shane O’Neill’s two year old runner was only fifth at halfway but avoided the trouble on the last turn to power home and deny the pace-making Knockbrogan King by three quarters of a length in 30.13sec.
The son of Crash has only had eight races and all three of his victories came in this competition.
