Another Portlaw born female, Droopys Ant gets the second Shelbourne nomination after clocking the fastest time in the Irish Oaks first round.
The performance of the week goes to Rockybay Foley for a 28.00 run at Cork – the fastest run in the last seven days by some 37 spots and a time only equaled once last year by Clonbrien Hero.
Another impressive run on the clock was Beslow Maximus’s sprint at Drumbo, a time not bettered since Hee Haws Sheriff’s 17.65 run two years ago, with Bogside Leader recording Dundalk’s best two-bender of the year.
Thurles has been running slow with General Manager’s 29.20 the quickest 525 in 2018. Mc Razl’s fastest run in the first round of the Lee Strand was also the best over the Tralee 550 course.
Finally – a dog who should get a nomination for his name, let alone the fact that he recorded the fastest standard distance time of the week at Limerick, Fred Hates Buses.
