Droopys Flytline and Highview Splash landed the two semi finals of the Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile Derby at Shelbourne Park. Flytline has won seven of his eight outings including a €5,000 unraced stake at Cork.
Jacktavern Bolt continues his domination of the Irish Laurels with another sub28.00 run in the second round. That is seven in a row for Graham Holland’s Kasco Derby winning pup.
At Limerick, Kinturk Road added the Irish Cambridgeshire to her wins in the Corn Cuchulainn and Deadly Kennels 750 final. The blue has won 11 of her last 13 outings.
At Lifford, Gizmo Cash took a length off his own FOY/TR for the sprint while So Its Rapid clocked the fastest 400 of the year at Mullingar.
It is worth mentioning that a number of the meetings were hampered by the wet weather and slower track. As a result, times should not always be taken at face value. For example, Westmoor Layla clocked a decent enough 28.47 at Waterford on Saturday night – a run whose only true merit can be viewed set against the next quickest run on the night, 29.26.
