Once again the Boylesport Irish Derby dominates proceedings at Shelbourne with eight second round heats on both Friday and Saturday night. On Friday, Scaglietti rubber stamped his ‘fastest of round’ run last weekend with a second consecutive 29.26 clocking.
On Saturday there were a couple of 29.31 runs for Bens Teddy and ante post hotshot Coolavanny Hoffa.
There was a nice double for puppy sisters Ballymac Neems and Ballymac Winx at Tralee on Friday with Neems the quicker by three spots.
All eyes were on the Irish Sprint Cup semi finals at Dundalk where Rathdown Molly went quickest with a 20.99 run. But earlier on the same card, Dapper Rose clocked the fastest 525 of the year to date in just her fourth race.
One run that might have gone under the radar was the 19.11 for Mullingar’s 350 yard sprint recorded by Eyrehill Elm, the fastest time over course and distance in five years.
There was also the quickest 730 of the year at Waterford which went to pup Razldazl Amaze.
