Loads of cancelled meetings in Ireland the main feature event being the St.Leger on Saturday night, along with meetings from Cork, Thurles,Tralee and Waterford, which like Thurles and Enniscorthy didn’t race at all last week. The Friday night meeting at Clonmel was also canned.
At Shelbourne Park, Graham Holland’s Munster Oaks winner Clogheen Lass went quickest in the opening round of the Christmas Oaks with Irish Derby finalist Maries Wedding just half a length slower.
At Drumbo, Florence Cake clocked the fourth fastest time of the year when taking the Gold Cup Final.
