The three feature events in Ireland in the last week were the deciders of an unraced stake at Cork, the Tipperary Cup at Thurles and the Horan Memorial at Galway.
The Curraheen Park decider went to Graham Holland’s exciting prospect, Newinn Hero, the Thurles race went to Owen McKenna’s Ghost Dancer and the Galway race went to Karol Ramsbottom’s puppy Deadly Expert.
This week’s biggest event will be the final of the Corn Cuchulainn and the two Shelbourne nominations go to semi final winners Cushie Jet and Skywalker Logan.
Among the more interesting winners were a trio of 2018 pups. When You Believe, from the latest Ballydoyle Honey litter to race, clocked the fastest of the week over the standard distance at Clonmel, while Levante Beach produced a 21.10 run for Dundalk’s 400 yards, a run only better by three greyhounds this year: Ardnasool Jet, Cabra Hurricane and Blame The Game.
Finally, a February pup called Outnumbered who produced a stunning 28.44 run at Waterford (FOY – 28.22).
