Most eyes were on Dublin where Coolio impressed in the Juvenile Derby at Harolds Cross while Ballyhooly Henry looked back to his best over 600yds across the city.
Elsewhere, there was a flying 21.28 at Mullingar for Aulton Jet and another fastest of the year for 600 at Limerick with Ballymoris Diva. However mention should be made in dispatches of flying youngster Bentekes Bocko, also at Limerick.
Longford was also hard to call with several ’15 pups worthy of mention; Click N Collect got the nod. Meanwhile at Waterford, a 21 month old pup clocking 28.64 would be worthy of a mention, though Kathleen Roche’s Kingsmill Sable was edged out of it by litter brother Kingsmill Alert with a 28.45 run. That’s some clock for a pup in his fourth race where the fastest of the year is 28.09.
