The Boylesports Irish Derby over 550 yards closes to entries after racing at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.
By close of play Tuesday the track had received around 60 entries but with many of the top kennels yet to enter their dogs, the track is hoping to get around 120 dogs.
This would mean 10 heats on both the following Thursday and Saturday evenings.
There is still no news on the participation of last year’s winner Laughil Blake, who last raced when winning a Derby trial stake at track in 29.54sec at the start of July.
