Less than half a length separated the times in the semi-finals of the Peggy Kellys Islandbridge Sprint over 325 yards at Harolds Cross on Friday.
Ronnie McKeown’s Catherines Drico went quickest when making the first turn in front to go on to beat Nikitas Star by a length and a half in 17.61sec.
Tommy Bolton’s Iceroad Driver and John Mcgee’s Swanley Rose dead-heated in the opening qualifier in 17.63sec.
Patrick Cocoman’s Fordeflag made all in heat three to hold off Industry Prince by half a length in 17.63sec.
