The extraordinary Roxholme Nidge produced a stunning 10 length win in the second round of the RPGTV East Anglian Greyhound Derby at Yarmouth on Monday.
The 29 kilo brindle, whose career has been dogged by injury, produced the star performance with a 27.61 run on going rated .20 slow. (Rob Roy’s fastest of the year was timed at 27.58 on going rated .20 fast). Hayley Keightley’s runner is just two months off his fourth birthday and has won 17 of his 24 races to date.
Despite the narrow elimination of Roxholme Jim in the first qualifier, it was a good night for the Keightley kennel with Roxholme Glory the next quickest winner in 27.87.
