Hayley and Mark Keightley pulled off one of the great training doubles seen in many years when landing the Oaks and Laurels at the same meeting – at Belle Vue on Wednesday evening
The Oaks was an absolute thriller dominated by the two principles, Forest Twilight (T2 6-4f) and Domino Storm (T4 7-4). It went like this . .
The winner’s time was 27.79 (-20) for the 470m and the distance was a length and a half.
Earlier in the meeting, the kennel’s ‘unlucky Derby dog’ Hiya Butt (T3 5-4f) showed huge amounts of class to take the £6,000 Laurels. In a virtual match, Butt saw off Charlie Lister’s Oscar Junior (T4 11-4) by a length and three quarters in 27.49 (-20). It went like this
