If you don’t know what day of the week it is, you are not a lot of use to Doncaster.
After returning from their short winter break on January 9, the Yorkshire circuit will continue to race on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of February.
For the following two months, Fridays are shelved, and they will race Saturday night and Sunday lunchtime until the end of April. Then starting on May 4 until the end of August, the Sundays are canned in favour of Wednesday BAGS.
Racing manager Mick Smith said: “The kennel strength is slowly getting back to normal after the break. We raced two lots of nine races last weekend but dogs are re-qualifying all the time.
“There are a couple of Sundays in March, including Mothers Day, when we were always going to race, so it seemed easier to run every Sunday.”
