This week I’ve had the pleasure of accumulating some amateur and professional tipsters to provide us with their best bets of the evening. It has a similar format to what readers would’ve seen before but with extra competition. There is a prize pool for the winning tipster across the two Saturdays of open racing at Hove!
A few familiar names are in the running with the likes of Charlie Rees who has supplied many winners on the Greyhound Star and RPGTV respectively. He’s a confident tipster and likes to let his suggestions do the talking!
Ashlee Williams who runs RPGTV social media accounts and has links with The Seamus Cahill kennel. He also does a bit of tipping on the side of his busy life under the name @FlashTips on Twitter, and has also been seen tipping within the region of eight winners on a card before.
Donna Coney who needs no introduction is an excellent judge of a dog, is often seen selecting many winners on Crayford cards, will Hove be a challenge?
Daniel Wallis finished runner up in the Greyhound Derby Fantasy Kennel competition. You can normally expect some value bets amongst Daniel’s picks.
Pip Whittington comes into the challenge as the unknown amateur tipster, will we see a flying start? A bit to prove he can not be ruled out as he is present at the track near enough every day. Pip is very knowledgeable and with strong connections to the ‘Green Team’ knows exactly the right type of dog to run Hove well.
Donna’s thoughts on: Jacktavern Magic – the penny has finally dropped with him winning his last 3 starts and has shown he can do it after both a fast and a missed break. He has a good chance of leading this field and I don’t think they will be strong enough to pick him up. Savana Top Cat – Top Cat ran really well last week showing nice early and think now with a recent look at the track should improve from the run.
Ashlee’s thoughts on: Jacktavern Magic – has taken to hove excellently, but not a massive fan of how wide he goes, he should enough pace to lead and keep in front. Lively Lauren – Lauren is a special bitch another consistent type and she has been running in great style at Hove. Kilara Ivy – has been a pretty sight in recent weeks and continues to improve, takes a lot to win four from your last four starts. Gougane Jet – the Jet isn’t the biggest fan of Towcester but likes hove with his quick pace out of the boxes he’ll be in front at the first and be finishing strongly.
Pip’s thoughts on: Kilara Ivy/Quarteira – both brother and sister are two top class sprinters Ninja Kerry – our old boy Ninja trying to retain his title ran well last week. Savana Heross – looks to have a very bright future over 6 bend racing, and I like the draw inside!
My thoughts on: Icaals First – been in great form of late and I think is an excellent jumper the draw in 1 will be boosting his chances. Chippy Brady – some of his times have been brilliant, consistency is key for hurdlers and he’s kept up to that, hopefully have the race put to bed by the second bend.
Coppice Fox – has got much more to bring, perfect draw, and pace to come with it, his experience will play a big part here. Queen Pink – she has a seriously tough heat, but a quicker break than last week I suspect she will turn the tables on No Rush on a quicker track. Droopys Roster – been very impressed with his first start especially to win where he had to come from, now he has 6 a decent break, will put him in the firing line for a late finish.
Droopys Google – he’s finally starting to grasp his form, and he is now doing it at hove. The one and three should lead him and if he follows round unscathed it’ll be then that he puts the jets on. Quarteira – favoured him over his kennelmate in three although Gougane Jet is top class dog, a very good sprint trial recently suggests he may prefer it to his kennel opponent.
