Hove are looking to appoint a new racing manager following Jeff Piper’s decision to step down from the role on health grounds.
Ladbrokes Coral Head of Stadia, Ian Smyth said: “First of all, I would like to pay tribute to the superb job that Jeff has done and I am delighted that he has agreed to to stay on as a deputy racing manager. We would not want to entirely lose his considerable ability and experience in the racing office. Having said that, I entirely respect his decision that his health must come first.”
In an acknowledgement of the dearth of experience racing office staff in the industry, the company have significantly opened up the position in the advertisement for the post with the line “previous racing office experience is desired but not essential”.
