Ballydoyle Honey continued her march through the Sporting Press Irish Oaks with another facile victory in the semi-finals over 525 yards at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.
Graham Holland’s runner racing from an unsuitable trap six was led to the second turn by Jumeirah Dancer but keeping wide she swept past to eventually beat kennelmate Hovex Princess by eight lengths in 28.18sec.
There was a turn-up in the second semi-final when 10-1 outsider Ravenswood Emily got the better of a battle with another big priced runner Awaywitdepixies by a short head in 28.81sec. The favourite Urban Gossip was involved in early trouble and also got held up on the last turn when looking likely to qualify.
