With Clares Rocket’s sub 29.00 solo trial still fresh in the mind, Graham Holland picked off the official Towcester 500m clock with another kennel star in Drive On Tipp (Droopys Scolari-Mohane Patient, Jan 15).
Running in the black jacket, the ‘Comerford Cakes’ finalist (5-4f) was led to the latter stages by Street Lane (T1 7-2) but got up on the run-in to win by a length in 29.04, half a length inside Dorotas Wildcat’s previous best.
The kennel also landed a second open in 29.13 with Kiss And Hug (Droopys Scolari-Momentinnewyork, Jun 14) in 29.13. Other winners on the night include Giro Day (Kinloch Brae-Lacken Sylvia, Sep 14) in 29.17 and Lightfoot Star (Forest Master-Light Foot Molly, Aug 14) in 29.53.
