Walshes Hill took the first steps back to the track at Newcastle on Thursday when Jimmy Wright’s start sprinter pleased in a solo 290-metre spin, clocking a 16.92.
Pleased with the first effort since July, Wright said: “He’ll have another trial at Newcastle next week and then he’ll go to Sheffield or Nottingham for another trial after which we’ll look for a race for him.”
The kennel’s All England semi finalist Droopys Vodka also showed up well covering the 480 metres in 28.50 and he’ll be at Nottingham on Tuesday.
