Kilara Hey Mac registered the best figures in the second round of the Frightful Flash Kennels McCalmont Cup over 525 yards at Kilkenny on Friday.
Paul Hennessy’s runner flew out of trap one and went on to beat Expert Jess by four lengths in 29.13sec.
Declan Byrne’s Black Tom was soon clear in the opening qualifier and went on to beat Roo Ace by a length in 29.23sec.
Byrne had a double when his Master Gorryisle came from off the pace in heat three to deny Triangle Shiraz by half a length in 29.56sec.
Karlow Master landed a scrappy third heat when leading at halfway to beat Shaneboy Frankie by two lengths in 29.45sec.
