Declan Byrne’s Black Tom who scored last week in 29.47sec can step up on that performance to take the opening eliminator. Roo Ace, who clocked a 29.03sec at the track in November, can push him all the way.
Texacloth Puppy Derby winner Whisht A Mhic is fancied to follow up his 29.23sec heat victory and take the second qualifier. Declan Byrne’s Master Gorryisle is the main danger.
