Henlow are to increase the ‘also ran’ money for all open racers from £20 to £30 from the beginning of February.
The Bedfordshire track were unable to fill this Sunday’s minor opens but are now matching their closest rivals Sittingbourne who already offer the enhanced reward.
The Bedfordshire track also offer the additional incentive of live coverage on RPGTV.
Meanwhile the track have announced they are to stage a new competition, the Henlow Mini Derby worth £2,500 to the winner and starting on March 1.
Run over the 428 metre course, it will be for 36 runners and held on three consecutive Sundays.
Before then, they host the 550 metre Henlow Gold Cup, also for 36 runners and worth £2,500 to the winner. The first round is scheduled for Sunday February 8 and concluded over the next two Sundays.
