The Greyhound Trader Henlow ‘Silver’ Sales saw another 41 greyhounds reside in the UK with new owners.

Top lot on the day was unsurprisingly Droopys Poacher who clocked a very impressive 27.84 first look at Henlow on the day. Only an August 2021 dog by Malachi and Droopys Meteor, the hammer eventually fell at £5100 and he is in the capable hands of Cornelius Condon.

Sterling Man was another greyhound to attract plenty of attention in the sales ring. Likewise an August 2021 whelp, the son of Out Of Range ASB won his sales trial in 28.37 and a future at the nearby Oxford venue stands ahead of him under the care of young trainer Rosie Tungatt.

Strictly Ben was the fastest on the sectional clocks and she fetched £2700 whilst the well bred Droopys Sydney son Easy Zone sold for £2100 having stopped the clock in 28.51 earlier in the day.

In total, 41 of the 44 greyhounds sold at a success rate of 93% for an overall turnover of £47,200.

The next Greyhound Trader sale will be the well anticipated Towcester ‘Pre-Derby’ Sales on Wednesday March 8th and this will be restricted to greyhounds qualified in ON1 status or sub 29.00 in Ireland.
