Henlow promoter Kevin Boothby has issued the following statement to his trainers:
To all trainers
To help you all in this very un-nerving period, starting immediately, any greyhound that is on the racing strength or resting, will be paid £5 a week from Henlow Racing Ltd
Please bear in mind we have 1000 greyhounds to cover with these payments.
The payments will be paid on a Friday, with the first payment being Friday 3rd April
This situation will be reviewed in 3 weeks’ time and we will keep you updated.
I hope this will be able to help trainers bridge the costs for their greyhounds.
