Race of Champions winner Rural Hawaii can go one better in the semi-finals of the ECC Timber Champion 550 at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.
Graham Holland’s runner was surprisingly caught in last week’s heats by Slippery Snowy who beat him a length in a fastest 29.79sec.
However that was his first race at the Dublin venue and he can step up on that effort.
Slippery Snowy is a massive threat. Larry Dunne’s runner, a litter brother to Irish Oaks winner Ballydoyle Honey, rode an early bump before winning and isn’t dependent on an early lead.
Tuckers Foley is another to consider. Paul Hennessy’s runner flew out last week clocking a much faster split time before winning in 30.15sec. He’s still a pup and more improvement can be expected.
Skip Glory can make it four wins from his last six races in the second semi-final.
Frances O’Donnell’s runner, who was impressive last week when leading all the way to beat Ballybough Mike by four lengths in 29.82sec, can soon be at the head of affairs.
Ballybough Mike, a Produce Stakes finalist, is capable of better now he wears the red jacket.
Jaytee Pharoah also must enter the argument. He was a trap to line winner last week in 29.82sec and has now won four from his six races.
