Trainer Pete Harnden gave a robust and thoughtful defense of greyhound racing when he appeared on BBC Radio Nottingham this morning writes Floyd Amphlett.
The local handler found himself having to defend the industry’s secretive attitude towards welfare and re-homing following accusations made on the station the previous week.
Harnden appears to have been targeted by ‘antis’ following his succession to the director’s seat formerly occupied by the GTA representative, in addition to receiving personal attacks on at least one industry related website.
