Swindon have received permission for their new handicap traps and could stage their first staggered start as early as this weekend.
Stadia UK director Bill Glass said: “I expected to be operational several weeks ago, but was surprised to discover that we needed a GBGB inspection of the traps. We are now ready to go and the handicaps should ensure competitive racing as, like every track, we keep a close eye on the number of greyhounds available.”
