The Hall Green sibling rivalry question was finally answered at Towcester on Tuesday night – or was it?
The Midlands’ tracks top two stayers, the Angie Kibble trained litter sisters Trapper Kate and Trapper Kerry (Razldazl Jayfkay-Arch Enemy, Feb 14) went to traps for 655 metres opens. Both won easily with Kerry coming out on top, a 39.43 (-30) run, compared to Kate’s 39.73 on similar going.
So – settled?
Not according to Angie’s partner Bob Baker.
He said: “I think Kate is the better bitch with more potential. I can see her eventually staying 8-900 yards where Kerry, who probably has a bit more early, is just about at her right distance. I also think her time flattered her a bit last night because the bowser had been around before her race and sped the track.
“Mind you, they are both very good bitches and still only young. As far as I can work out, only Billys Bullet (TR 38.90) has gone quicker with the going allowance.”
The sisters were both bought at last year’s Hall Green sales.
