Kinsley already have 40 entries for the Betfred Gymcrack but held over the closing date until lunchtime today (Wednesday). It was originally due to close yesterday.
Joint racing manager Craig Hunt said: “We held it over because there were several possible contenders due to trial last night and we didn’t want to risk leaving them out if they went well.”
Quickest of the lot was recent Sheffield Sales purchase Mustang Santi who clocked 27.42 for the 462 metres off a flying 5.13 sectional. Newinn Blitz and Young Romeo both recorded 27.46.
The draw is due to be shown live on the GBGB website at or around 1pm today.
