The Greyhound Trust has issued the following statement
Editorial
While we are delighted to see clarity bought to proceedings, we hope that the trustees and executive at the Greyhound Trust do not see this a free pass to continue as previously.
The Trust has indeed lost the trust of the great majority of industry shareholders. It is opaque, arrogant and aloof in its conduct. How an organisation that is dependent on the goodwill and decency of so many volunteers has managed to alienate the vast majority, is beyond belief.
There is a significant disconnect between the Greyhound Trust and the rest of the industry. Until there is a major overhaul of policy and attitude by the chairman, his chief executive, and the charity’s trustees, the Greyhound Star will continue to urge GBGB to consider other independent options for its welfare funding.
