It is being reported that directors Clive Feltham and Joe Scanlon have resigned as directors of the Greyhound Trust.
The move will see more pressure on the Trust’s executive following a number of controversial decisions, most notably a plan to back a showcase kennel in Sussex.
Meanwhile, despite the Trust’s claim to ‘home 4,000 greyhounds per year’, the actual numbers are in decline. The latest figures declared by the Trust, for 2017 showed they homed 3,546 dogs, down from 3,811 in 2016. Income stood at £4,583,523, including £1.4m from GBGB. This averages at £1,292 for every greyhound homed.
