PRESS RELEASE:
Greyhound Trust are pleased to announce that two Board Advisors with Greyhound Racing expertise have been recruited to support the work of the Charity’s Board.
These Board Advisors will help ensure that Greyhound Trust develop its services and support to trainers and owners in a way that is most beneficial to the changing landscape.
We are pleased to welcome Peter Batt and Craig Marston, who fill the positions of Racing Greyhound owner and Greyhound trainer respectively.
The positions are Pro Bono and Peter and Craig will be gifting their time and expertise, because they are committed to the work of the Trust and wish to see our work further develop and support trainers and owners even more effectively.
Our primary objective is always to achieve the very best outcomes for retired racing greyhounds and we welcome the opportunity of working more closely with the sport through these key Greyhound Trust Board appointments.
Peter says “I am very proud and excited to be taking on such an important role as Advisor to the Greyhound Trust, having been a greyhound lover and owner for nearly 30 years. I am really keen to listen to owners and trainers, opening up new conversations and finding smarter ways to find real value for the dogs we all love. I believe the Trust does so much good, that isn’t shared to a wider audience, and a significant amount more can be achieved. I can be contacted on [email protected]”
Craig says “I am extremely pleased to have been given this opportunity, I am in the role to give Trainers a voice and to help bridge a connection between trainers and the Greyhound Trust. I will be offering advice from all trainers perspectives and if any trainer wishes to speak to me, they can just give me a call or drop me an email. My contact details can be found on the GBGB website”
Greyhound Trust thanks all those who took the time to apply for these roles and look forward to them taking the opportunity to work with Peter and Craig to ensure their views are heard more widely within Greyhound Trust and are taken into consideration as we continue to develop and evolve our services to more effectively support retired racing greyhounds and find them homes after racing.
