Greyhound Trader are looking forward to their next sale on Tuesday 22nd August at the newly GBGB licenced Valley Greyhound Stadium.
There are 46 greyhounds in the catalogue with the sales trials due to commence at 10:00am and the actual auction at approximately 12:15pm.
Nathan Corden said “I visited the Valley earlier this week to do a site survey ahead of the sale and I was very impressed. The stadium may be compact but it is very smart and clean and you can see how much hard work has gone into getting their GBGB licence. It was a pleasure to have been shown around by Malcom Tams (former owner and now General Manager) and David Cartwright (Racing Manager) and their desire to make the Valley successful was very evident – the kennels were spotless and so were all the public areas.”
The sales on 22nd August will be the first official GBGB action at the new track to which Corden continued “It probably is not ideal for us to hold a sale prior to any official GBGB trial sessions but we are where we are. I did try to push it back and replace with another venue but unfortunately it was blocked as it was inside the 28 days notice we have to provide to the GBGB. However, I am sure the locals at the Valley will be sharp enough to hunt down a few bargains on the day! For the online buyers we know that the Welsh Derby (just a couple of weeks ago) was won in 28.45 but since then they have laid over 100 tonnes of new sand which will drastically slow down the track. The anticipated grading time for the Valley will be 31.00.”
