MAGICAL KYLE – June 2021 dog pup by Ballymac Bolger out of Mystical Moll who is a well proven producer of open class offspring. Moll being responsible for the fastest ever debut making pup in the shape of superstar bitch Mystical Mary who backed up the immense promise shown when recording 2810 in August 2021 at Limerick by returning to the track in the summer of 2022 to land the prestigious Cesarewitch 600 Final. Kyle an 84lb pup with many months of maturing still to do clocked 2910 in a wide margin Limerick trial win in what is so far the only mark on his card.
MAGICAL WOLF – July 2021 pup who is a son of Skywalker Logan and out of Knockalton Emily who hails from a line which consistently producers strong runners who come into their own with age. Despite his tender years Wolf stopped the clock in 2930 Limerick recently marking him out as a top prospect who might well come into his own over tough tests of stamina once fully matured.
OVER TO CLOVER – December 2021 baby without a single mark on his card but has been reared and schooled to perfection by the famed McCusker team who of course were responsible for one of the leading greyhounds of his generation Ice On Fire. Clover is a son of Burgess Bucks and Quicksilvergemma a half sister to the likes of Droopys Loner and Norris. Gemma having already produced Holdem Lauren the Category One Guys & Dolls Finalist of 2020. Given this pups inexperience and breeding lines it very much looks as if there will be a mountain of improvement to come from him as the year progresses.
TASTY TEA – December 2021 pup who looks like he’ll very much come into his own as a staying type once fully matured. A son of Ballymac Anton and Das Eadaoin a full sister to the 2021 Juvenile Derby Finalist Off The Pitch and a half sister to the superstar UK performer Look Like Power. Offspring from this line lack nothing for stamina. Reared and schooled to perfection once again by Team McCusker this lad looks likely to prove a very welcome addition to any kennel in the UK.
DROOPYS RUCK – August 2021 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Droopys Zero the dam of Skywalker Cilla 2021 Champion Bitch Stake Winner at Thurles , Irish Derby Consolation Winner 2021 and of course a finalist in the English Oaks 2021. Ruck has been showing plenty of pace on the home gallops and in schooling and is fully expected to be another from the famed Droopys establishment that will be competing regularly on the UK open scene.
DROOPYS SAHARA – October 2021 son of the mighty Pestana and out of Droopys Dance a hugely proven producer of open and competition class greyhounds including the sensational Droopys Nice One a finalist in the 2022 Irish Greyhound Derby. Sahara has been showing huge promise during the rearing stage and this has been backed up with some very nice performances both on the home gallop and the schooling track. No doubts at all from the Droopys team that this is an exciting prospect and there are sure to be many eyes on him hoping that at the end of sale day he is settling into their kennels as a new member of the team.
BILLERICAY JOE – June 2021 son of Ballymac Cashout and out of Ballymac Diva the dam of Ballymac Fairone the 2021 English Greyhound Derby Finalist. Joe set many tongues wagging when landing a hot novice stake at Waterford with first and second round victories followed up with a scintillating final performance when crossing the line some 2 lengths clear of his nearest rival in a superb 2869. Subsequently headed to Shelbourne Park where he recorded 2893 in a trial on what was his first sighter of the circuit. Excellent back straight pace and staying power Joe looks all set to become a useful and versatile addition to any kennel here in the UK.
RAPIDO LADY – August 2021 daughter of Sparta Maestro and Perfecto Rosie who weighed in at 70lb for the only trial on her card when showing huge pace in a 8 length winning trial effort in 2932 around Waterford. This is Rosie’s maiden litter she is a daughter of the sensational 2018 Irish Bitch Of The Year Vancouver and if the impressions given during the rearing and schooling stage are anything to go by then Rosie’s pups will be leaving a big impression on the track.
GLENGAR MULAN – October 2021 daughter of superstar sire Droopys Sydney and out of Glengarbadminton a novice open class winner on the track and already a proven producer of open class off it. Mulan has just the one trial on her card when routing her nearest rival by fully 10 lengths in 2953 Limerick.
KILLAHAN SYDNEY – September 2020 son of Droopys Sydney and Pennylane Lucky this lad is a ready made open class performer who is ready to get straight to work for new connections here in England. A five time winner from just 16 career starts this strong running sort has won 3 times in open class and is really heading the right way as a 3261 effort over Limerick’s 600 yard trip in mid February highlights perfectly.
GLIDEAWAY HUGO –June 2021 dog pup who couldn’t have been much more impressive than when winning by fully 5 lengths in 2935 Limerick on career debut back in November however it was his post winter return to the track early in February when going down by a head in 2906 at the same venue which had many shrewd judges sitting up and taking note. Hugo missed the break badly and was crowded at many points throughout the race finding himself well out of position on the wide outside of the track. When he finally got clear this son of Broadstrand Bono and Glideaway Babe took off and pulled well clear to the pick up in the manner of a young greyhound who looks destined for a top class career over six bends. Still green in his running he can only improve for racing and it will come as no surprise if he is seen lining up in all the major six bend competitions later this year.
FREELANCE – August 2021 dog pup without a mark on his card and has so far only been very lightly schooled. Sire Pestana needs no introduction and dam Dolce Vita is a proven producer of open and competition class greyhounds with her being responsible for the likes of Maiden Derby Finalist here at Towcester Wide Open , Tullovin Vita 2022 Irish Oaks Finalist and of course Antigua Sugar who was sold at the corresponding sale last year for £10,000 before going on to win the category one Juvenile Classic. Whatever this youngster does on the day he can be fully expected to find many lengths in the weeks and months to come and looks a prospect right out of the top drawer.
MAGICAL YOLANDA – October 2021 bitch pup by Cabra Firmino out of Cabra Twister who of course is the dam of the sensational six bend open racer Magical Poppy. A finalist in the 2022 Corn Cuchulainn at Shelbourne Park Poppy gained some much deserved compensation a short time later when landing the final of the Irish Cesarewitch at Limerick. Yolanda has just the two trials on her card winning the second of those around Limerick by 5 lengths in 2939. A young bitch who can’t fail to improve for months to come and could turn into a stayer of real ability.
MAGICAL PLUTO –July 2021 son of Skywalker Logan and Knockalton Emily who put in a scintillating display of early and middle pace to win on career debut around Limerick by 4 ½ lengths in 2930. Beaten into second behind a good class 2883 winner at the same venue on his next start but performed with great credit and looks a real nice type that should be mixing it in at least the high grades and with a little luck on side could well be another for the UK open scene.
COOLAVANNY CIAN –August 2021 son of Ballymac Bolger out of Yahoo Katie a 2888 Shelbourne Park winner on the track and a daughter of one of the leading broods of recent years Yahoo Perlena. Katie is of course well proven as a brood herself with her having produced 2022 Greyhound Of The Year Coolavanny Aunty and 2022 English Oaks Finalist Global Prima in her debut litter to Droopys Sydney. Cian doesn’t have a mark on his card but heads to Towcester with a lofty home reputation and is fully expected to develop into a high class sort.
YAHOO TELMA –September 2021 dog pup by Ballymac Best out of Ballymac Ava a half sister to the likes of Skywalker Rafa and Coolavanny Pet and has already produced competition class performers herself with Radical Hero reaching the final of the National Produce Stakes at Clonmel before going on to win a couple of opens around Shelbourne Park including a heat of the Juvenile Derby whilst litter brother Cheque For Sir has proven to be a real winning machine chalking up 13 victories from just 22 career starts including landing a couple of big money stakes at Kilkenny and Shelbourne Park respectively. Telma is highly regarded and heads to Towcester with a totally clean book with all the hard work of rearing and schooling already complete. Will be highly sought after.
DROOPYS TROPHY – September 2021 dog pup and another from the Droopys school of excellence. A son of Laughil Blake from the maiden litter of superstar Droopys Curio who posted one of the most talked about debut performances ever when setting a new track record of 2807 Newbridge and added a further record to her CV not too long afterwards when recording 2794 Waterford. Subsequently a finalist in the Irish Oaks of 2020 Curio is one of the fastest bitches of all time and if her pups have been passed just a modicum of her ability they will be a joy to watch. On the day trial will be interesting but the word is that this is another classy sort from the Portlaw based outfit.
DROOPYS TATIANA – September 2021 bitch pup by Droopys Sydney out of Affane Beauty who has proven herself well capable of producing good class pups with the most notable being Dromana Bucko who looked a superstar in the making winning his first 3 career races in sensational times including 2804 Cork when landing the final of the Denis Linehan Solicitors Unraced Final before injury cruelly robbed him of fulfilling his potential. No surprise to see Beauty mated to Sydney and could this bitch be both a star for the track and one for the breeding paddocks later in life ?
RAPIDO GEORGIE –July 2021 son of Droopys Sydney out of Endova Monroe a top grade performer during her time on the track and a proven producer of open class off the track. Georgie has just the one race on his card and scorched around Waterford to win his race by 10 ½ lengths in a fantastic 2903. Landing a huge gamble in the process this 82lb pup should improve for quite some time and looks a real nice prospect.
RAPIDO BONNIE –August 2021 daughter of Sparta Maestro and Perfecto Rosie an unraced daughter of Vancouver. Bonnie recorded 2988 Waterford in the only trial on her card but weighing in at 72lb she will no doubt improve as she grows into her substantial frame.
IPAD WARRIOR –August 2021 dog pup and another member of the ultra-highly thought of and immensely promising litter by Pestana out of Dolce Vita. Reared to perfection at the famed establishment of the ‘Newry Maestro’ Brendan Matthews this youngster heads to Towcester very lightly schooled and with plenty still to come but has been showing all the right signs that he well has the capabilities of making his mark just as younger half-sisters Wide Open and Tullovin Vita did.
AMICABLE –July 2021 daughter of Broadstrand Bono out of Follys View who of course is a hugely well proven producer of open and competition class greyhounds including the likes of 2021 English Puppy Derby Finalist Maturereflection and 2022 Winter Festival (Night Of Stars) 550-yard Winner Savana Hero. This bitch looks very likely to make decent class on the track if judging by the impression she’s given in schooling but she is without any doubt one for the breeding paddocks in the future.
MAGICAL AVEEN – July 2021 bitch pup and a member of the promising Skywalker Logan x Knockalton Emily litter. Backed up the promise shown in a 7-length trial winning effort at Thurles in 2962 to then record 1823 over the sprint trip at the same venue which as anybody knows is a more than decent effort for a youngster. Promising type who as with all pups from this set up have been done immaculately to this stage.
MAGICAL SEANIE –July 2021 son of Grangeview Ten out of Mustang Evita. This 80lb unraced pup has been given time to mature into his frame but there is no doubting that the best is yet to come. Despite his obvious greenness at this stage he still recorded 2890 Limerick in a wide margin trial victory on what was his first ever trial over four bends. Mother Evita was a strong running open class performer over both four and six bends and she was of course a half sister to the sensational Evanta Evita. Will be well suited by the more galloping circuits of the UK where he should undoubtedly be competing in high open class. There will be many envious eyes looking to add Seanie to their team by the end of sales day.
YAHOO SYDNEY –July 2021 son of Droopys Sydney out of Geelo Champers a multiple open race winner on the track here in England and a daughter of the super brood Yahoo Perlena. Sydney has caught the eye of his rearer from a very early stage and hasn’t disappointed during the schooling process. He was kept back specially to attend the biggest Greyhound Trader sale of the year such is the reputation he holds at home. That said there is plenty to come from this lad in the months to come and his new owner will be adding a pup of extreme promise to their team.
TULLIG INDO – July 2021 son of Magical Bale out of Hail Cleopatra an open class winner on the track here in England and producing open class types of it with her counting the likes of Tullig Cyrname the 2022 Lee Strand Winner at Tralee with a 2826 also on the card at Shelbourne Park and Tullig Raven who equalled the 2803 Tralee track record of the mighty Ballinabola Ed in just his very first race. This is breeding to die for and Indo has already shown his ability with a 2907 come from behind victory at Tralee when despite missing the break and encountering much in the way of trouble until the third turn he eventually came through to win handily and galloping strongly to the pick-up in the manner of a greyhound who may well get further with age.
OFF THE FIELD – December 2021 dog pup and one of the youngest in the sale. Reared and schooled by Team McCusker this stunning blue brindle greyhound looks one for staying trips as he matures. A member of the Ballymac Anton x Das Eadaoin litter he has been showing plenty on one of the most famous home gallops in the sport. One for those looking to add a potentially six bend star to their team of greyhounds.
OPPOSITE OPINION – December 2021 dog pup and another member of the Ballymac Anton x Das Eadaoin litter. This litter have as noted been showing all the hallmarks of potential stayers of the future and this lad is no different.
TIMES UP CHEERS – January 2021 dog pup who is lightly raced by already a two-timer winner on the track with 2911 Clonmel for the 525-yard trip and 3011 for the 550 yards Clonmel on the card. This huge 84lb pup a son of Magical Bale and the superstar bitch Ballydoyle Honey had a short winter break and came back better than ever when despite lacking a little in the way of fitness he trialled at Clonmel just last week in a hugely impressive 2866. Another pup for the open scene here in England with his best days very much ahead of him.
CISCO KID – November 2020 son of Ballymac Best and Follys View. Totally unraced with him having been entered for a couple of Shelbourne Park stakes over the winter period which didn’t fill. Has broken the 29 second barrier in each of his four bend trials on the card with two 2887 efforts at HQ followed up by a 2877 effort. The Matthews team have been preoccupied with the coursing season and this unexposed sort will come on a ton for work over the coming weeks. Nice type and sure to make a welcome addition to any team whose emphasis is on quality.
BALLYMAC JOHN – September 2021 dog pup a prospect right out the top drawer from one of the leading teams around the world famous Ballymac kennels. John was obviously very much in need of the experience when recording 2986 Tralee back in October but showed he’s wintered superbly when flying around the sprint trip recently in a flying 1775. This son of Ballymac Cashout and the superstar bitch Ballymac Arminta the 2019 Champion Stakes Winner and finalist in the Irish Oaks of the same year who has well proven herself as a brood with offspring from her maiden litter to Ballymac Bolger winning races for fun. Quite how good John could become is anybody’s guess but at this stage the sky really is the limit.
BALLYMAC BAR –April 2021 son of Ballymac Bolger and Motorbar Abigail. A lightly raced sort who showed great stamina and will to win when overcoming a missed break and severe first bend trouble to win in 2883 pulling away to the pick up at Shelbourne Park in December. Abilgail is well proven in the breeding paddocks with her being responsible for Antigua Princess (ex – Ballymac Trend) who of course landed the 2020 running of the English Oaks as well as the Juvenile of 2021. Bar looks sure to be competing in high class races and may well be suited to the shorter six bend trips at the likes of Romford and Crayford where there will be plenty to aim at throughout the coming year.
THE OTHER RUDOLF –January 2021 son of Droopys Sydney and Mountaylor Queen who time after time produces competition class greyhounds of the very highest calibre including the likes of 2022 Irish Derby Champion Born Warrior and Scooby Princess Limerick Oaks Champion 2021 and runner up in the Irish Oaks of the same year. Rudolf was simply sensational when recording 2840 Limerick early in December in a wide margin victory. Open class performer who will arrive with his new connections fit and ready to get straight into his work.
THE OTHER DANCER –January 2021 bitch who looks a stayer for the UK scene a daughter of Good News and Slippery Jade who of course is a daughter of the sensational brood Kildallon Maid and herself a strong running open class performer on the track. Dancer is a versatile bitch who will compete at a high level at a variety of trips and should prove to be a real nice addition to any kennel here in the UK.
STATE SECRET –October 2021 son of Wolfe and Bay City Lexi who showed a real desire to win when landing the first four bend trial of his life recently around Kilkenny in 3033. Solid looking type who should quickly progress through the graded system here in England.
MYSTICAL BOLT –July 2021 dog pup and another of the Skywalker Logan x Knockalton Emily litter. Weighed in at 81lb for the first four bend trial of his life at Limerick recently and posted a superb 2915. Destined for big things here in England and should improve for a step up in distance as he matures.
RAPIDO FRANKIE –July 2021 dog pup from the Droopys Sydney x Endova Monroe litter. A huge pup who weighed in at 81lb for his first and so far only four bend trial of his life at Waterford when recording a more than reasonable 2944.
RAPIDO ELLIE – September 2021 daughter of Pestana and Champagne Lizzie without a single mark on her card. Has show above average ability during her early schooling trials and looks sure to progress through the grades without too much trouble at all.
SWIFT HIPSTER –October 2020 son of Droopys Sydney and Swift Raven. Lightly raced sort who put in a phenomenal display when winning over Clonmel’s 550-yard trip late last year in 3004 by fully 9 lengths. Will be ready to get the job done straight away for new connections.
ECUADOR – February 2021 daughter of Pestana and Mags Angel who was a regular open class winner on the track around Shelbourne Park and a finalist in the 2019 Munster Oaks. Away from the track Angel has been producing a high calibre of pup and Ecuador looks another with her having scorched around Clonmel on a winning career debut in 2914 off the back of a nice 289 split. Could well be one for the sharper tracks here in England where her undoubted early and middle pace will see her picking up plenty of nice races.
PETERSBURG –October 2020 son on Dorotas Wildcat who is an 8-time winner on the track in Ireland with his last run being a winning one over Shelbourne Park’s 575-yard trip in a flying 3105. Will be well suited by any four-bend trip in the UK and may well come into his own over the likes of Romford’s 575m distance.
MEENAGH MISSILE –August 2021 son of Droopys Cain x Meenagh Midget with a race win at Derry in 2804 on the card and showed his wellbeing with a 2911 Drumbo Park trial effort just a couple of weeks ago.
DRUMCROW ICON – March 2021 son of Good News x Drumcrow Jessie who weighed in at 79lb for the only trial on his card when clocking 2195 Dundalk over the 400-yard trip. This lad will improve for many months to come and will come into his own with experience and once stepped up in trip.
DRUMCROW SASHA – May 2021 bitch pup by Drumcrow Obama out of Drumcrow Pepper who showed a real likeable attitude to win the only trial on her card at Derry recently by 2 lengths in 2902.
GIZMO HADES – October 2021 son of Droopys Sydney out of Touch Of Luck who threw open class in her first litter. Hades has shown plenty of pace in his schooling trials and arrives here in England without an official mark on his card.
