The Sep’20 Droopys Sydney dog caught massive attention when equalling the track record at Tralee, previously set by kennel mate Ballinabola Ed on his debut when stopping the clock in a magnificent 28.03. He then came back into limelight when winning his opening round heat of the Irish Derby in a scintillating 29.38 for 550y. Raven again won in the 3rd round, beating the likes of Explosive Boy and eventual finalist Droopys Nice One before unluckily exiting at the quarter final stages. Not even 2 during his Derby campaign, Raven will have learnt a lot from experience with next year his chance to win a big one. It will take a decent price to get this lad but be sure he certainly is a fast one.

Strictly Paul – Another star amongst this week’s auction, Paul is a proven race winner having impressed when winning his second ever race at Waterford in a fast 28.52. A son of the former English Derby winner Jaytee Jet, he was prepped for the Juvenile Derby with a 28.50 solo trial in his first ever spin around the venue. A dog with fine early dash, he looks to be a maturing with age and staying on well as seen in his stylish win. No doubt to be a competition dog in England, he would take well to numerous tracks but none more so than the 450m trip at Oxford with a tilt at the £20,000 Pall Mall on the cards.

Ballymac John – unraced September 2021 dog pup with breeding lines to die for. John recorded a respectable 29.86 in Tralee at the precocious age of 13 months old. Said to be hampered massively in the trial, John was showing signs of being a very raw novicey pup, but he is highly thought of at the world famous Ballymac kennels who have no problems racing him themselves. Bred Ballymac Cashout x Ballymac Arminta, there is no questioning that if passing their pace on, John will turn into a real top-class Open race dog.

Ballymac Derek – unraced September 2021 dog pup bred Ballymac Anton x Ballymac Merkle who stopped the clock in a decent 29.86 at Tralee at the tender age of 13 months old. Derek’s dam Ballymac Merkle is from the famed Definite Opinion x Ballymac Razl line and she counts Malachi, Smallmead, Ballymac Inspeed and Ballymac Bolger some of her direct relatives. This is Merkle’s first litter but in a short career on the track herself she produced some great 6-bend clocks. With these two lines put together, you are getting the very best of Ireland’s breeding with a potential staying sensation the outcome.

Ballymac Kirsty – unraced September 2021 bitch pup by Ballymac Cashout out of Ballymac Arminta. Kirsty is a well-built 67lb bitch who won her qualifying trial in Tralee by a massive 7 lengths in 30.21. Whilst a fascinating racing prospect, potential bidders will have their eye on Kirsty as a super breeding prospect. Her dam Ballymac Arminta smashed the 28.00 barrier at SPK on two occasions, including an incredible 27.70 run in the Semi-Final of the 2019 Irish Oaks. Arminta has the makings of becoming a top-class broodbitch having produced Velasco from his first litter to Ballymac Bolger. Kirsty provides a great opportunity for anyone serious about breeding.

Linking Lawyer – unraced July 2021 prospect who will be eligible for all upcoming puppy competitions. Lawyer is a hugely exciting 76lb dog by Ballymac Bolger and out of Mystical Moll, who threw none other than the ferociously fast Magical Mary in her last litter. This dog comes from the kennels of Sean Conway, who has produced a magnificent 20 category 1 finalists in the last 22 months, and this lad may add to that tally if continuing in the right direction.

Tullig Signal – unraced May 2021 dog pup who most recently qualified in a rapid 29.06 at Tralee. By the sire of the moment Droopys Sydney, this big 78lb lad is sure to attract plenty of attention and looks one for Puppy competitions coming into the next year or even the Puppy Derby at Towcester in December if settling in time. His dam Tullig Abigail’s racing career was cut short to just 1 race, but she won this in 29.21 and her siblings include Kirby Memorial winner Bentekes Bocko. Signal looks to be one of the most interesting lots available with untapped potential that could make him into a serious competition dog.

Beechwood Kate – unraced July 2021 who qualified over 525 yards at the first time of asking in 29:35 at Cork. Showing plenty of greenness, Kate quickly moved clear to win her trial by 8 lengths. This 63 pounds Lady has a very bright future ahead of her for sure and looks sure to provide any new connections with some great fun.

Ballymac Tiara – a lovely black 64lb bitch who has won 11 races from 25 starts including in 28.68 at Enniscorthy. A strong running type, Tiara has already won over distances from 525-575 and will be suited to a strong 4 bends or short 6 bends. She could also make into a lovely brood bitch once finished racing with Global Liberty not far back in her lines.

Swift Quaff – A May 2020 brindle bitch who is a consistent sort at Yarmouth in A2 grade.  A genuine middle runner, Quaff has a nice gear of early pace and might be suited to a slightly shorter running track. Just over 2yrs old, she will prove a handy addition to most graded kennels.

Poachers Fury – Nice dog for sale who has been running at Sheffield climbing up the grades to A3. Fury is still just 2 ½ years old and so plenty of running left in him. He would perhaps benefit from a change of scenery and up in trip.

Good Dancer – unraced February 2021 bitch who was the sole lady in the litter has a 29.44 at Kilkenny on her card. Her dam has thrown the likes of Chelms Jet, Bubbly Dancer, Priceless King and her full-brother Priceless Cathal, who won at Enniscorthy last Monday in 29.00 in the ongoing ON1 competition. Just 5 weeks out of season, she is available at the perfect time to let settle into her new surroundings before showing her class on the track.

Avongate Versace – Already a race winner in 29.01 around the tough Kilkenny circuit, Versace is a real professional type with great early pace. Bred from the great Droopys lines, his dam is a half-sister to the great Droopys Gloss. This lad will make a nice grader in the UK and perhaps one to land a gamble with.

Newinn Mover (ex Proud Mover) – A winner of 3 from 10 starts in times including 28.87 and 29.00 at Clonmel. Mover is a top-grade performer in Ireland and will be one for connections to have a gamble on. He notably also beat Yvonne Barry 600 finalist Jacktavern Bella by a length in a recent sprint trial at Clonmel as preparation. This dog will benefit for the transition to UK racing and will quickly reach top grades or even maybe minor open class.

Comer Logan – unraced March 2021 dog pup who has graded on at Kilkenny in times 30.02 and 29.98. Logan is named after his sire Skywalker Logan, who made a name for himself throughout the 2019 English Derby at Nottingham when smashing the Track Record. Logan looks to stay well enough and will make into a nice young grader for someone to take a chance on.
