The recent death of former Harringay owner Tony Mardle brought to light a greyhound treasure that that he had been keeping safe in his garden shed.
The two records boards would be familiar to old Harringay punters who would have seen them in the restaurant area prior to the track’s closure in 1987.
The story goes that they were first secured by an old Harringay punter who attended the first and last meeting and the stadium, who then bequeathed them onto Tony.
They are now being passed on to a family friend who will appreciate their historic and novelty interest.
