Leading animal welfarist and former CEO of Dogs Trust Clarissa Baldwin CBE, has responded warmly to Kinsley’s new home finding initiative. She states:
“It was encouraging to read of John Curran’s pledge to ensure all greyhounds racing at Kinsley will be assured a new home. John has always stood out as a Promoter who understands the need for welfare and is prepared to put money behind this promise.
“He is generous in his praise for BAGS money playing a significant part in this initiative. So much more rehoming could be achieved if other Bookmakers would follow the example of Ladbrokes /Coral and pay into a Fund specifically for this cause.
“Well done, John, come on other BAGS tracks and follow this example but above all let’s have some more support from Bookmakers who benefit significantly from dogs providing the backbone of the sport.”
