Nottingham trainer Geoffrey Gray has decided to take a back seat and hand over the training licence to his son Jason.

Gray has been part of the training ranks at the Colwick Park venue for over 4 years.

The changeover took effect on Friday 30th January and Jason Gray got off to a great start when the first runner under his name, Not Long Ago, won an A3 contest in a time of 30.39.

Nottingham marketing manager Nathan Corden remarked: “It has been a seemless transfer and it was great for Jason to get off to such a good start. We wish him the best of luck for the future.”
