Forest Chunk beat Droopys Buick in the fastest time of the night – Puppy Derby winner Forest Con in line for the double – a dead heat delays the semi final draw.
The three main talking points of the Ladbrokes Gold Cup at Monmore on Thursday night where Forest Chunk clocked an excellent 28.01 in the opening heat. Forest Con was just 14 spots slower after missing his break but delivering the third heat.
The issues had come in heat two where Swift Merlot and Jet Stream Larry dead heated for a qualifying place. The fifth heat was equally frantic with Tynwald Baz (11-10f) the shock elimination in a blanket finish.
