Droopys Gold heads the open race leaders table on his own after winning his eighth race of 2019 at Monmore on Saturday.
Seamus Cahill’s blue, who is now trialling for the Scottish Derby has won eight of his 11 races this year (73%). Only Coolavanny Dylan, with six wins from eight appearances (75%), has a higher strike rate for dogs with six wins or more.
The trialing pack includes Rosebowl winner Sleepy Genie, plus Gain GTA Trainers Championship contenders Seaglass Tiger and Brigadier Bullet.
However, Golden Sprint winner Union Jack – whose 23.79 run for 400m at Romford was inadvertently missed off this week’s ‘Fastest of Year’ table, will be very short odds to join Gold at the top of the table when running from his favoured red box at Romford on Friday.
