Elaine Parker’s Razldazl Godsend looks to have given his trainer a bit of a problem following a trial at Sheffield on Thursday.
Sidelined for most of the summer, the April 2013 son of Godsend and Razldazl Faye recently returned to action in A1 at the track, but, following three unsuccessful efforts, she switched him back to hurdles and he clocked a flying 29.37 (+20) in a solo spin, just fourteen spots outside the record.
If Elaine is looking for hurdle races on the home front then she is obviously going to have to be prepared to accept the scenario of handing out large starts in handicaps, while the other option is burning the midnight oil looking through the Calendar for open opportunities.
