Geelo Jet is the first trialist for the forthcoming Partex Marking Systems Prestige at Hall Green.

The £6,000-to-winner event, for just two runs over the track’s 645m trip, was won by local Scala Dromin last year. This year’s leading local contender would probably have been Droopys Adler, but with Angie Kibble’s runner still on the sidelines, there will be a chance for Wiki Waki Woo to complete a unique double. The front running black won the Ambasador Cars Midland St Leger in December with a fastest-of-year 39.35 (-15).

Racing manager Rob Coulthard said: “Geelo Jet is booked in for this week though I am sure there will others. “We can offer solo trials after our BAGS meetings on Monday and Wednesday afternoons but due to a shortage of space, anyone wanting a run before evening meetings may have to be a two-dogger”
