Towcester
The GBGB Regulatory Board met today to discuss the licensing application for Towcester Greyhound track. Whilst there are some minor details to work through, we are confident that we can make a joint statement with the new management of Towcester early next week.
Racing behind closed doors
The GBGB Regulatory Board has today made a temporary licensing condition for licensed greyhound stadiums, that for the foreseeable future all race meetings and trials must take place behind closed doors. This position further demonstrates that we in the sport are taking responsibility for maintaining racing whilst observing government advice in order to mitigate against COVID-19. GBGB advice to limit possible exposure between stadium staff, trainers and vets at greyhound stadiums has also been sent out today to all tracks for observance.
