The votes of the Greyhound Writers’ Association have been counted and the contenders for the eight 2020 open race greyhound category awards are as follows:
- Star Sports Bitch of the Year 2020: Aayamza Royale, Queen JessieJ, Smallmead
- GBGB British Bred Greyhound of the Year 2020: Elderberry Sky, Queen Dolly, Queen JessieJ
- Colossus Bets Hurdler of the Year 2020: Burgess Doc, Roxholme Biscuit, Swift Loki
- GBGB Marathon Performer of the Year 2020: Aayamza Royale, Affirmed, Micks Little Gem
- GBGB Newcomer of the Year 2020: Roxholme Kristof, Surprising, Tenpin
- Charles Russell Speechlys Sprinter of the Year 2020: Goldies Hoddle, Loggies Lito, Shrewd Call
- GBGB Standard Distance Performer of the Year 2020: Deerjet Sydney, Kilara Lion, Newinn Jacko
- GBGB Stayer of the Year 2020: Desperado Dan, Roxholme Kristof, Smallmead
The winners will be unveiled at the GBGB Greyhound of the Year Awards which are being held and broadcast virtually from 6pm on 14th February 2021.
