Greyhound Trader are delighted to confirm that their inaugural Greyhound Sale will take place at Towcester on Wednesday 21st April.
“We are grateful to the GBGB for giving us permission to stage our first sale at Towcester. We have been in discussions with them over the past couple of weeks around the restrictions in place and we have agreed to hold the sale behind closed doors as well as reducing the number of greyhounds allowed down to 40.
“Unfortunately we cannot have the public at the sale on Wednesday 21st April, however we thought it was still important to stage the sale on this date for any potential Derby dogs to come over to have the time to get registered, qualified and settle into new surroundings. The sales trials will be live streamed and all potential purchasers will be able to bid online via our online bidding platform powered by Marteye” said James Corden.
Successful bidders will either be able collect their purchases after the auction has been completed (with an allotted time slot) or take advantage of a North or South drop-off transporter service for a nominal fee.
Corden continued “In a normal world successful bidders would simply take their greyhounds with them after the auction, however in these strange Covid-19 times the GBGB were particularly keen for us to manage the post auction process as tightly as possible.”
Entries for the special Pre-Derby sale will open on Wednesday 1st April and a sales catalogue should be available approximately 7-10 days before the sale. Anybody wishing to enter into the sale can contact the Greyhound Trader team by emailing [email protected]
